Jocath Photography Training came into existence in July 2007 and was originally established to offer an alternative to people who are in full employment, who are frustrated with their working circumstances and are looking for change and something different to do.
Two digital photography courses are presented in such a way that the student can either follow photography as a hobby or can decide to further his/her knowledge and to eventually get involved with digital photography on a more professional level.
The courses consist of an introduction to digital photography and a more advance course where the student is exposed to certain topics and special techniques regarding digital photography. Because of the popularity of the courses the franchisor decided to investigate the possibility of franchising this training model.
Training takes place within the context of a private home/institute where every student will receive individual and personal attention because only a small number of students are allowed to attend. However, training supplied by the franchisor is also on a professional level incorporating the latest developments in the digital photography field. Every course is presented in both Afrikaans and English.
The aim of these courses are to give students the opportunity to gain practical and theoretical experience and is aimed at the more mature person (age 40-60 years) who is more interested in photography as a hobby. But, the courses are also presented in such a way, that if a student should decide to take his/her hobby to the next level, he/she will be able to do that.
What started as a small home-based training business is slowly becoming a company with a growing team committed to deliver superior quality training to a certain hitherto ignored segment of the population (people in full employ of the age group 40 to 60 years).
